C2N Australia Director Bruce Wymond pushes for a transition from coal to nuclear over the current renewables-only approach.

“It is a matter of when, looking at a site, there are so many metrics that are similar for both a coal-fired power station and a nuclear power station,” Mr Wymond said.

“You need the water supply for the steam turbines, you need the grid connection point, you need a labour force and a community nearby and our coal power station plants … have those characteristics.”
